The Geographic Information System (GIS) Division of the Lancaster County Information Technology Department is responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and distributing spatial data for Lancaster County.

The division functions as the backbone of county GIS by providing spatial data products and services to county departments, as well as to the general public.

2020 GIS Day Video


Due to the impact of COVID 19, Lancaster County’s in-person 2020 GIS Day, with presentations and speakers, is postponed to November 2021. The department has instead released a 2020 GIS Day video, which is now viewable on our GIS Day page!

LanCo View Update

Parcel Viewer
The 2020 Quarter 3 Parcel Viewer is available now!
Next release is: Monday, December 14th, 2020

COVID-19 Coronavirus Update:
The Government Center is now open to the public and County offices are on modified operations. GIS customers can visit the IT/GIS office for assistance.

All visitors are strongly encouraged to wear protective masks upon entering and while conducting business within the building. Masks will be available at the building entrance on East Chestnut Street.

Any GIS related questions or requests for services can also be e-mailed to: ithelpdesk@co.lancaster.pa.us   

Staff will be monitoring these emails and responding as quickly as we can.

Many Lancaster County GIS datasets are available free of charge on PASDA. You can download GIS Data or Imagery from the PASDA Download Page. Imagery or elevation data can be selected and downloaded using the Imagery Navigator.
